From Tennessee Equality Project:

As you know, there are several bills making their way through the state House of Representativesat the moment.  The License for Businesses to Discriminate Bill on the House Floor was deferred until next Thursday.  That’s a momentary win.

HB1151 (Ragan) Indecent Exposure/Locker Room Bill – Rep. John Ragan’s bill was amended and is considered a win for us.  As long as the amendment stays, it will be good for us.

HB836 (Rudd) Religious/Private Adoption Ban – Allows privately-owned child placing agencies to refuse placement of children if the individual(s) wishing to adopt violate the agency’s moral or religious convictions. It prohibits those denied adoption to take civil action. If this bill becomes law, any part that violates Federal law or regulations may not be executed. Schedule next- House Judiciary Committee, March 20th

The wins you see above are because of the actions you have taken by writing letters and making phone calls or showing up for our Advancing Equality Days on the hill.  Our next day is Tuesday, April 2, 2019.  We must fight the activist fatigue and keep the pressure up.  The fight is just beginning on the Senate side.  The finish line is close.  Take a deep breath and keep the pressure up.
