HIV Testing

6:00p-9:00p:

Free, confidential HIV testing is available every Monday and Wednesday, conducted by our well trained Sexual Health team.

Perpetual Transition

6:00p-8:00p:

Perpetual Transition is our core Transgender Services peer-led community group. PT is a safe and welcoming space for transgender folks of any flavor, identity, expression, or gender to meet and socialize with other like-minded individuals. 

PT is open to anyone who identifies as transgender or is questioning, and is a safe and confidential space to ask questions and meet other people.

TUESDAY 6/25

LGBTQ Youth Job Fair

Are you LGBTQ, 18-25, and looking for employment? Then grab your resume and join us on June 25th for a job fair! 

We will have plenty of LGBTQ affirming employers ready to talk to you about joining their teams.

This is a safe space for LGBTQ youth seeking employment opportunities, and as such all employers will be seeking skilled and hard-working folks regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, or any other identifying factors.

Volunteer Orientation

5:00p-6:00p:

This is a training to familiarize new volunteers with the organization, and to allow them to ask questions. All new volunteers for OUTMemphis must attend this training before working shifts. These trainings occur the second and fourth Tuesday evening of the month. These trainings are RSVP only.

Tu Ppl: LGBTQIA+ Latinx

Tu Ppl is a social support group for Latinx/Hispanic Memphians who also identify with the LGBTQIA+ community.  Tu Ppl is a space for LGBTQIA+ Latinx people to come together and bond over the intersection of these two identities.

Tu Ppl es un grupo social y de apoyo para gente Latinx/Hispanx en Memphis que tabien es parte de la comunidad LGBTQIA+.  Si no habla mucho ingles no se preocupe.  Lxs facilidatorxs del grupo habla espanol!

WEDNESDAY 6/26

Trans Committee Meeting

This committee meets the last Wednesday of each month. This committee provides input on events, groups, and other Transgender Services that OUTMemphis provides for the LGBTQ+ community in the Mid-South. Anyone that is Transgender or Allied is welcome to be a part of this committee.

Bluff City Sports Association Meeting

THURSDAY 6/27

National HIV Testing Day

12:00p-9:00p:

Join OUTMemphis on June 27th for a day of events to celebrate National HIV Testing Day! OUTMemphis’s Sexual Health staff will be out in full force for a whole day of activities, and a full day of HIV testing.

We will be hosting a table at the Walgreens at the corner of Union & Pauline, doing free and confidential HIV testing from 10:00a – 7:00p. We will also be opening OUTMemphis early and be doing HIV testing from 12:00p-9:00p at the center. As always, there is no appointment necessary, and the tests are free and confidential with a 20 minute response time.

Join us that evening at OUTMemphis for an evening of fun as well! We will have games, trivia, drag and other entertainment, and we will be hosting an open floor forum for testimonials from community members regarding HIV and their experiences with it. We invite you to join us for this day of awareness, and to wear your best RED outfit to help make this issue more visible.

Royal-T is a newly Memphis-based social and support group for all transgender people of color. Royal-T is a group for Kings and Queens to come and be themselves. We have to support and motivate each other through the good and bad times.

Delta Trans Masculine

DTM is a social supportive group for transgender folks who identify on the masculine end of the spectrum.

GenQ is a safe and welcoming social group for LGBTQ youth and young adults 18-25 to socialize and interact with their community outside of a bar or club setting.

PRYSM

PRYSM is a safe, welcoming space for 13-17 year-olds to meet friends and get support. 

PRYSM was engineered as a space for young LGBTQ and Ally teens to socialize with each other and have fun in a safe, affirming, supportive environment.

FU;BU (For Us; By Us)

FU;BU is a peer-led community social group for same-gender loving (SGL) men of color.  The primary goal of FU;BU is to foster a safe, creative, and positive space for SGL men of color. FU;BU aims to build positive relationships with self and community through great conversation, while providing a forum for community building and socializing.

Trans ID Workshop

The Trans ID Workshop is designed to help transgender individuals navigate the legal documentation and processes of transitioning, including name change, gender markers, and other such paperwork. Where applicable, blank documents and applications will be provided as part of the workshop.

Love Sessions

8:00p-9:00p:

Love sessions are conversations – not lectures – about how to provide yourself with some TLC and make sure you are at your best to be a good partner for your next or current relationship. These sessions are built to open the door to conversations that go untouched. Love Sessions are put on in partnership with the Family Safety Center and others.
