SUMMARY

The Resource Navigator supports the daily operations, programs, and services of OUTMemphis across multiple sites, including the Youth Emergency Center (YEC) for 18–24-year-olds, PRYSM programming for 12–17-year-olds, Trans Services, and Community Center programming. As a frontline staff member, the Resource Navigator ensures that community members, youth, and visitors are welcomed, supported, and connected to the resources they need. This includes managing front desk operations, assisting with program facilitation, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and serving as a liaison between participants and staff. Because the Resource Navigator is often the first point of contact for those engaging with OUTMemphis, this role requires very strong communication and engagement skills, empathy, and experience working with individuals from marginalized, underserved, and traumatized communities. This position may require flexibility to work evenings and weekends based on programming needs.

  • Support the implementation of community feedback to strengthen policies, practices, and programming.

  • Experience working or volunteering with LGBTQ+ communities, youth, or marginalized populations preferred.

  • Very Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an affirming and trauma-informed approach.
