Movie Night at the Youth Empowerment Center!
Watching: Judas and the Black Messiah
Reminder that all events hosted at the Youth Empowerment Center are limited to 18-24 year old folks only.
During this session, volunteers will learn how to navigate the Volunteer Matters Portal, review safety policies and procedures for each site, and get an overview of available shifts. We’ll also explain the nature of each role and help complete any missing forms.
Join us for an intimate, beauty-shop–style conversation created with the real lives of sisters in mind. This space honors the true experiences of Black and Brown trans women—the things we carry every day and don’t always get to say out loud.

Struggling with schoolwork? Join us for Homework Support, a bi-monthly group designed to help LGBTQ+ youth ages 12–17 stay on track and feel confident in the classroom. Whether you need help with an assignment, want a quiet space to study, or just need encouragement from supportive peers and staff.
STRESSED Backwards is DESSERTS is The Youth Empowerment Center's Group Therapy, providing support for LGBTQ+ youth 18-24 through life & social transitions. Led by Meghan Paige, LPC, NCC of Rooted in Memphis Counseling.

Winthin a Common Bond is a support group that provides a meaning-centered therapeutic approach to help participants explore their identity as it relates to their HIV diagnosis.
Game Night at the Youth Empowerment Center is every 4th Friday of the month, alternating between board games and video games. Games are chosen based on attendee desires, so you’ll always havea say!

Come create with us at the Youth Empowerment Center! Our craft nights rotate between holiday-themed projects, easy step-by-step activities, and, from time to time, more in-depth workshops led by local artists. All supplies for the craft of the night are provided—just bring yourself!
Community Dinners are served for FREE to all LGBTQ+ community members looking for a hot meal. Drop in and stay a while or grab one to-go.
Continuously Rising Over Systemic Stigma or C.R.O.S.S. is a support group for trans masculine and male-identifying individuals, especially Black and Brown men. Through shared experiences, dialogue, and access to daily essentials, C.R.O.S.S. helps men rise over systemic stigma, build brotherhood, and thrive in their full authenticity.
