From Tennessee Equality Project:

The state legislative session is winding to a close and we have a little good news to report.

The Business License to Discriminate bill was deferred this week until the 2020 session. TEP Shelby County Committee Chair Shahin Samiei was on the Hill this week fighting for you when we got news of this great result.

The adoption discrimination bill and the anti-transgender student bathroom bill are up for consideration in the Senate Judiciary Committee on Tuesday.

Your voices and the opposition of businesses like Curb Records are helping put these discriminatory bills on the defensive, but we can’t give up until the Legislature adjourns.
