Join us for the 10th Tennessee Equality Project Gumbo Contest at the Memphis Museum of Science and History (MoSH – formerly the Pink Palace Museum).

TEP‘s annual celebration brings together teams from near and far to compete for the best gumbo in Memphis. Gumbo contestants will be awarded prizes by an appointed panel of judges and by individual tasters like you in the People’s Choice competition.

TEP’s annual gumbo competition draws large crowds who support the LGBTQ+ community of the Mid-South and draws many public and elected officials. Your support of this event helps support LGBTQ+ advocacy efforts in Memphis.

Tennessee Equality Project

The Tennessee Equality Project advocates for the equal rights of LGBTQ people in Tennessee. We do this through legislative advocacy. That means we lobby the Tennessee General Assembly and local governments around the state. When there is an important federal issue, like bills that include anti-LGBTQ adoption language, we help you make your voice heard with your federal officials.
