Our first annual job fair for LGBTQ youth was a success!

With over fifty youth attending, we are happy to know this event connected many of our LGBTQ+ young adults to possible employment opportunities with companies that actively affirm their identities. The final numbers are not in yet, but we can confirm that at least nine people have secured jobs – and that’s only from one business vendor. These kinds of community events are a vital part of connecting the LGBTQ+ community, one of the core pillars of our mission

Thank you to the many businesses who came out and made this event possible:

Special thanks to Crosstown Concourse for hosting us, and to Farm Burger who catered the event with delicious options (those veggie burgers were amazing).

None of this could be possible without the committed work of our Planning Committee Leaders Sen Cuzzort and Katie Saucier, and a whole committee of community members engaged in creating programming for LGBTQ youth in the Mid-South. If you would like to add your energy to the Youth Services Committee (or any of our programming committees), send us an email to find out how. #WeAreHere
