OUTMemphis is proud to announce a new support group for HIV positive individuals. P.L.U.S. (Promoting Longevity, Unity & Self-care) aims is to provide safe, comforting space with in the local HIV community, where those infected and affected can seeks support, resources, and counsel on the difficulties and success of L/HIV (Living with HIV).

P.L.U.S. will featured exciting talks, workshops, empowerment sessions, fun events and guided activities that will ultimately lead to the development of a strategic plan to expand HIV services increase engagement in care and engagement in stigma reduction and HIV advocacy. The group will be initially lead by Ace Brooks, Men’s Sexual Health Specialist with the hopes of securing an additional peer leader.

P.L.U.S. will meet weekly on Tuesday from 7-9. The meetings will be held at OUTMemphis’ OUTreach office located inside First Congo Congressional Church (1000 S. Cooper St., 4th floor). Refreshments will be provided along with referrals for other services.
