Did you know that Shelby County has some of the highest rates of syphilis among certain demographics? Young adults, ages 20–29, had the highest rates of primary and secondary syphilis in 2023. In addition to this, rates among Black residents here were more than 10 times the rates among White residents.
Game Night at the Youth Empowerment Center is every 4th friday of the month, alternating between board games and video games. Games are chosen based of attendee desires so you’ll always havea say!

Continuously Rising Over Systemic Stigma or C.R.O.S.S. is a support group for trans masc and male-identifying LGBTQ+ individuals. Through shared experiences, dialogue, and access to daily essentials, C.R.O.S.S. helps men rise over systemic stigma, build brotherhood, and thrive in their full authenticity.

Enjoy an afternoon of incredible drag entertainment, delicious brunch vibes, and community while helping support an organization dedicated to uplifting and celebrating the trans community.
This FREE, family-friendly community festival will have live music featuring local bands, community resources, arts, and culture booths, food and drink vendors including alcoholic beverages, a kids zone with lots of activities, and a car-free street transforming Overton Park Avenue into a vibrant community celebration.
